Mayor Wilson's proposed budget would expand the city's homelessness response with hundreds of new shelter beds and transfer $126.8 million in KCRHA homeless services provider contracts back to City administration. 29 permanent positions would be added in HSD to administer those contracts and contracts implementing the Mayor’s Shelter Accelerator Initiative.
